How Much Does It Cost to Install a New Septic System?
I live in Victoria, BC, Canada. I need to remove an old septic tank and have a new one installed. Does anyone know how much this usually costs, or have any suggestions of a good company to call? Do they allow you to finance this? Any advice would help. Oh, I think my current tank is about 600 gallons.

A neighbour had a new tank installed for around $4000.
This depends, what is the rules of your area regarding laterals and how many feet do you have to have. I can assure you that the rules have changed in the last 10 years as I went through this in the last year. I had to double the feet in laterals and the volume of the tank was dictated by the number of bath rooms and bed rooms in the house. The County has specific rules and employees to enforce their rules.
We spent $11,400 and I thought originally we only needed a new tank which would have cost about 1500 to have installed.
